Affiliate Program
Earn commission

The affiliate program powered by LinkConnector

By joining our affiliate program you can earn extra cash on transactions that result from your referral to gettyimages.com. So, when somebody clicks on your email, badge or banner and goes on to license content from gettyimages.com, you earn a cut of that transaction – no matter what they license. Even if it’s not your work.

How does it work?

Our affiliate program is powered by LinkConnector, a trusted partner of Getty Images since 2007. Once you join the program via the quick steps below, LinkConnector will send you a unique tracking code. Simply embed this tracking code to all the links to gettyimages.com you created using your digital toolkit. This code makes it possible for us to track all referrals from your site to ours – and pay you for any sales that occur as a result.

So what can you earn?

For each sale that occurs as a result of your referral, you will earn a percentage of that transaction.

The percentages work out like this:

  • You will earn a 15% commission for every order on gettyimages.com within 60 days of referral from new customers you send to our site (new customers are first-time buyers with Getty Images).
  • You will earn 7% commission for every order on gettyimages.com within 60 days of referral from existing customers you send to our site (existing customers are non-first-time buyers with Getty Images).

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is LinkConnector?

LinkConnector is an affiliate marketing network (http://www.linkconnector.com/) that represents and protects the interests of affiliates and merchants equally. Headquartered in Cary, NC, LinkConnector provides progressive solutions for merchants and affiliates, enabling them to increase online revenue and drive results. For more information about affiliate programs go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Affiliate_network.

What is an affiliate?

An affiliate (or publisher) is a person or company which sends visitors to a merchant's website in exchange for commissions. An affiliate teams up with a merchant, or group of merchants, through an affiliate marketing program to help them promote their products or services.

Does it cost anything to be an affiliate?

No. An affiliate account with LinkConnector is absolutely free. There are no set up costs and no maintenance fees. However, to be approved, you will need an active website or facebook page.

How often do affiliates get paid commissions?

LinkConnector combines all earned commissions from all merchants for each affiliate. LinkConnector then issues checks for the previous month's events on the 20th of the month for affiliates where the account balance exceeds US$100. Until an affiliate's account balance reaches US$100, the balance rolls over into the following month.

How do affiliates get paid commissions?

Affiliates receive payment by check, PayPal and, soon, direct deposit.

What happens if somebody licenses content that isn’t mine? Will I still earn the extra commission?

Yes, the affiliate marketing program will pay commission on the full order regardless of the contributor or collection.

Will the affiliate marketing commission affect my royalties?

No. This is an additional source of revenue for our artists.

Why do I have to enter in a tax identification number or social security number?

If Linkconnector pays you more than $600 in non-employee compensation they have to report it to the Internal Revenue Service. You only need to provide you tax identification or social security number if you are a United States citizen. If you operate your business outside of the United States you do not need to provide this.

What is non-employee compensation?

If the following four conditions are met, you must report a payment as non-employee compensation.

  • You made the payment to someone who is not your employee;
  • You made the payment for services in the course of your trade or business (including government agencies and nonprofit organizations);
  • You made the payment to an individual, partnership, estate, or, in some cases, a corporation; and
  • You made payments to the payee of at least $600 during the year.

Can I terminate the affiliate marketing program anytime?

Yes. Just remove the LinkConnector URL from your creative assets. LinkConnector will no longer track the traffic from your website to Getty Images.

What are the terms and conditions?

There is a three way relationship, you and LinkConnector, you and Getty Images and LinkConnector and Getty Images. You will find Referral Program Terms and Conditions here, which includes the terms and conditions for LinkConnector and Getty Images.

My merchant ID did not automatically appear. How do I get it?

You will receive an email that will have the merchant ID.

If you have lost your Affiliate ID or it did not appear automatically after registration.

Upon successful registration LinkConnector will send an email to you containing your LinkConnector Customer ID. Your LinkConnector Customer ID is the same as your Affiliate ID. Click the "Enter Your Code" button above to enter this code so you don’t miss out on your commissions.
